In it's 60 years of existence it has been known by many names. The Civic Center, The Baltimore Arena, The 1st Mariner Arena, Royal Farms Arena aka "The Chicken Box" and now the CFG Arena.
As part of the $150 million renovation to bring the building up to date and entice more acts to tour here. The arena is getting a new name to go with it's facelift. Constructed started in June of this year and is poised to complete in February 2023, right before the CIAA tournament begins.
There are some big names behind this renovation include Kevin Durant who's company Oak View is performing the work. As well as Pharrell Williams and Ray Lewis, once completed this renovated arena should be everything citizens have been asking for in a arena for years.
